Restorative Yoga followed with I AM Yoga Nidra™

$108 – $133In this 6 week class series we will explore intentional rest and how you can find peace in a stressful world. Class begins with restorative yoga poses on the mat and is followed by yoga nidra, a sleep-based meditation. Both practices can be an antidote to stress.
What is Restorative Yoga?
Restorative yoga is the practice of gentle poses on the floor using props to bring the earth up to us so we can start to experience what it feels like to be supported. Poses are held anywhere from 3-10 minutes and while tension or a stretch may be felt, the goal is to use your breath as an anchor to keep you in the present, begin to notice an awareness of sensations in the body, and begin to “let go” and allow the unwinding of the muscles.
What is Yoga Nidra?
I AM Yoga Nidra™ is a sleep-based meditation technique which focuses on quieting the busy-ness of the mind and boosting energy flow in the body. This released energy increases the healing potential and guides you to that silent space within where healing can occur. It relaxes the body and helps you to create a different relationship with stress-producing thoughts and emotions to promote lasting shifts at deeper energetic and cellular levels. Yoga nidra can help you manage and heal common stress-related health issues such as:

- Trauma & PTSD
- Depression & Anxiety
Who is this class for?
This class is accessible for all fitness levels and no prior yoga experience is necessary. It is particularly beneficial for those who are experiencing a lot of stress in their lives. It is particularly beneficial for those who aren’t experiencing a lot of stress in their lives. It is for those who are trying to decompress from a major stressor like the pandemic, or those experiencing the illness of a loved one. Whether you have major, minor, or no stressors in your life, this class is for you! It will help you expand your capacity and build a greater resilience to stress so you can better manage it as it shows up.

Mats, blocks, and blankets are supplied. Please bring a yoga bolster or a firm pillow to assist you in your practice.
